Cumberland County Public Library’s “Unearth A Story” 2026 Summer Reading Challenge runs from June 1 to July 31. The theme celebrates discovery through reading, and the program highlights how every person and community has stories waiting to be discovered and shared through books and events. Participants can explore great books, uncover hidden histories and connect with local stories and knowledge.  Readers can earn many different reading prizes by logging in their hours read.  

Residents may obtain a reading log from any of the eight library locations.  To participate online, readers may download READsquared app at ccplnc.readsquared.com.
