YOUTH EMPOWERMENT SUMMIT!
The Pearls of Virtue and Men of Courage Mentoring Programs will be hosting
a Youth Empowerment Summit at Loyd E. Auman Elementary School on April
6th from 9-11 am. Our goal is to create a culture of socially and emotionally
adjusted individuals. The summit will raise awareness to youth leaders that
will serve as peer educators to reduce youth restiveness and other anti-social
behaviors as well as encourage youth involvement in community service. Register here

2017-2018 & 2018-2019 School Calendars Approved
The Cumberland County Board of Education recently approved the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 schools calendars for those who attend Traditional schools, Year-Round schools, Early College high schools, and Cumberland Polytechnic High School. The calendars have been posted on the District Website.

Hands Holding up the Word Volunteer

ATTENTION LAES Community: PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!!!

We are seeking volunteers from our community to serve as mentors to our 4th and 5th grade students. Serving as a mentor, our goal is for our students to:
• Increase positive attitudes toward school
• Achieve higher grades
• Improve relationships with peers and adults
• Better able to express feelings
• Develop higher levels of self confidence
